I talked to several people this week at the gas storage plants near Palestine and they were asking if we had heard about a buy out of the company’s retirement. They had heard the company would give us between 5 and 30 thousand for each year of service up to 30 years. They said that the avg. retired employee got 30 thousand a year. The company was wanting to give out only 15 thousand a year and then they could keep the rest and use it as they saw fit. Have anyone heard anything about this?

We have been trying to organize and join the IBEW with you for several months. Although we have over 50% cards signed, there are a few locations where we do not have any participation due to, what we have been told, scare tactics by the company/supervisor. The largest of those locations are in Dallas, Irving, and Tyler. Please do what you can to assure these FSRs that they can sign cards without repercussions and that representation by the Union will undoubtedly be beneficial to them. Our presence in the Union will make it stronger for you as well. Please help us in our efforts by simply taking the time to say a word in support of the Union and encouraging a FSR to sign a card. Thank you.

As a retired TXU crew foreman and now an IBEW Lead Organizer, I am so proud of the accomplishments of LU 69 members. As I travel throughout the state meeting with other utility and co-op employees, I am always being asked about TXU/ONCOR’s employees decision to have representation. I hope you, LU 69 members, realize the influence you have on many other company employees. ONCOR workers are considered the elite workforce and are held in high esteem by many of these utility & co-op employees.
Be proud of your solidarity and the stand that you made, together, in order to secure your future with ONCOR.
